Byzantine Empire/ Constantinople

Byzantine Empire happened to be the last strong standing city in Rome during the Middle Ages. Its location is securely placed in the middle of Constantinople, which was the capital of the Roman Empire. The Byzantine Empire was Eastern Rome, so therefore they had when Rome was over take by foreigners such as the barbarians the Byzantine Empire stayed as is. The empire was one of wealth and great economic stability.
The Empires Christian beliefs were to worship and serve the Emperor as if he were a divine creature.
Muslims did take over so Byzantine territory in Syria and Egypt.
